Sarbanes-Oxley Controls Review
A major public international manufacturing company requested Titus to serve in the PMO function to ensure global IT SOX compliance. Key internal controls in accordance with COBIT/COSO frameworks addressed; I logical & physical security, change management, computer operations and System Development Life Cycle methodology. Project plans and procedures were developed, test pans designed to validate controls and evaluate operating effectiveness, control gaps were identified. Titus coordinated activities to ensure adequate coverage of financial controls and compensating controls were considered. Assisted in the remediation efforts to reduce risks and develop action plans to address control gaps.

Technology Risk Assessment
A subsidiary of a Fortune 500 insurance company looked to Titus to perform a technology risk assessment in support of the annual audit planning process. Titus facilitated a half day roundtable discussion with mid to upper level IT management identifying risks to IT resources (i.e., applications, operating systems, hardware, data, people, and facilities) and processes supporting and enabling the Company’s business. The information gathered was used to create a universe of auditable entities and ultimately a technology audit plan that was aligned with the Internal Audit plan.

Technology/Internal Audit Risk Co-Sourcing Solution
Through a RFP process, Titus was awarded a 3 year contract by a Fortune 100 communications company to provide a Co-sourcing solution for the company’s SOX 404 testing. Working side-by-side with a Big 4 firm, Titus put together a team of consultants who documented and executed test scripts for both financial and GCC cycles. Due to a confidentiality agreement, we are unable to divulge the name of the client.

IT Risk Assessment
Titus was engaged by a large, private company to assist with Section 404 implementation in preparation for taking the company public through IPO. The initial phase of the engagement was IT risk assessment including documentation of policies and procedures and gap remediation. Phase II will involve financial control documentation.
